Biography: An account of a persons life written by someone else.

Autobiography: A biography written by the person themselves.

Subheading: heading or title of a subdivision.

Mystery: fiction that includes secrets or crime that has to be solved.

Realistic fiction: believable fiction set in the present.

Reminders

-All students must come to school with at least two sharpened pencils and/or a small sharpener they can use at their  desk to reduce the distraction of asking classmates for supplies.

- All students must have index cards , as we are using them for the reading vocabulary words.
They must also have something to store the cards in. Stores sell index card holders, but a ring or zip lock bag works as well.

- Please refer back to the test reminders as there has been some changes for this week.

- At the beginning of the school year students were asked to have three folders. One for reading, one for social studies ( which stay in class to store their signed returned test and other classwork), and one for homework( for students to use to bring home test papers to be signed and homework). Some students don't have folders and therefore papers are not being brought home to sign or brought back to class. I will check that students have all these folders , if they do not I will not send home test papers for those students.

- Students are collecting can food  to donate to those who are not as fortunate as others. Please send your child to school with can food , if possible.

- Third grade only -Students are to be in full uniform everyday , except on Monday's when they wear gym uniform or if they have NUT card. If your child wears anything  else but their uniform without a NUT card they will have after school detention.
