All students are also required to have one vocabulary notebook. In this notebook they will write down their weekly vocabulary words from all four teachers. Therefore only one vocabulary notebook is required, plus the individual supplies from each teacher.

Below are some rules that must be followed to have a successful school year;
  •  Students must be in homeroom by 8 am, if not they will have to get a late pass.
  • Proper school uniform must be worn at all times.
  • Homework, assignments, and reminders will be posted on the blog , so it must be checked regularly- olqmnyc.blogspot.com
  • Appointments to see teachers can be made through the office. No walk ins.
  •  If your child is absent a note must be sent the day they return. Without a note test/quiz missed cannot be given upon the students return.
  •   Any class work missed is the students’ responsibility.
  • Homework is due the next day. The following are the exceptions; If your child is absent the day the homework is given, the homework is due the day after they come back. If they are absent the day it was collected it must be given in the day they come back.
  • If homework is not given in when due based on the rules above it will result in a 0.
  • Test folders will be sent home every two weeks on a Friday and must be returned on Monday with signatures on all assignments. This will count as homework, so if it’s not in on Monday it will result in zero. If folders are not returned to school, assignments will not be sent home.
  • If homework is to be done on Looseleaf/ worksheet it will be collected in the homework folder and it will be returned in the same way with a grade.

On September 6th, there will be a parent meeting at 6pm, I look forward to meeting you and answering any questions you may have.  Enjoy the last couple weeks of summer vacation!
