REMINDERS

2. Make sure homework is completed and given in when due.
3. No late homework will be accepted pass the day it is due.
4. If the child does not have the homework when they are in class, it is their responsibility to come back and hand in by the end of the day.

SECOND GRADE: Do the last two bullet points on page 185 of people together textbook. It says 1. Create a treasure map on the grid map you created for homework yesterday. 2. Create questions about your grid map that someone else can answer. *Write the questions on looseleaf but do not write answers to them.
THIRD GRADE: Finish the images of old and new New York City and write one paragraph describing the past NYC and one paragraph describing the present day NYC. Use two separate index cards or cut a looselaf in half and use a half for each section.
FOURTH GRADE: Read textbook pages 214-219 and answer questions 2,3 and 4 from page 219 on looseleaf. Questions and answers.

-Reading: Complete introduction paragraph ( 2 sentences with information about the topic and 1 stating your opinion).
- Social studies: Define the following words using the textbook in your notebook: main idea and pioneers.

3rd grade hw:
-Create the outline for an opinion essay on something you care about. The outline should only include:
I.  Introduction
a. background information
b. opinion

II. Reasons
a. Reason 1
b. Reason 2
c. Reason 3

- NO DETAILS FOR THE REASON, BUT YOU MUST LEAVE SPACE FOR THAT ON YOUR LOOSELEAF. WE WILL ADD DETAILS IN CLASS TOMORROW.

4th grade hw:
-Social studies textbook. Read pages 190-195 and answer Think about it questions 1-4 in notebook. Questions and answers.

-Phonics book page 75- Have someone read it to you and then they can ask you the questions on the bottom. You are to answer the questions based on what you heard on looseleaf.
-Phonics book page -137- Read about the Statue of Liberty and answer the questions from the bottom of the page on the same looseleaf from above.

B. Who became the first police force in America? What were their jobs? Why were they called rattlewatch?
C. How were girls and boys treated differently in school? What was the schoolmasters job?
