The following summer reading books and supply list are for the students that will be in second grade starting in September 2016. If your child will be in third grade in September 2016 please refer to Ms.Saville's blog

REMINDERS FOR WEEK OF JUNE 27, 2016


1. Students are to wear full uniform on Monday June 27. 

2.On Monday June 27, students will be having an end of year celebration. Bring the following based on your last name: 

-If your last name starts with letters A,B,C,D,E,F, and G please bring boxes of juices or small water bottles.

-If your last name starts with letters H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T , U, V, W, X, Y, Z bring either chips or cookies. 


3.No after school  program this week.

4.Award ceremy is Monday June 27th at 10 am. 

5.Last day of school is Tuesday June 28. Dissmisal is at 1:30 pm. 

6. Students are to come in full uniform on Tuesday June 28th.

REMINDERS FOR WEEK OF JUNE 20-23

REMINDERS


1. Folders: All the work from this school year will be sent home between Monday June 20th and Tuesday June 21. Please remove from your child's book bag , so they are not carryign unecessary things back and forth. 

2.BOOKS and NOTEBOOKS: Please do not keep notebooks at home as we will still be using them. On Thursday June 23, they will all go home and then they can stay at home. 

3.UPCOMING EVENTS: Half day on Thursday June 23,Last day of after school is also Thursday June 23.  No school Friday June 24, Last day of school June 28th. 



4.HOMEWORK: There is no homework , but there is still access to Achieve 3000, so you can your child practice their reading skills. 


5.Summer Reading list will be posted soon  as well as supply list for the upcoming year. When looking , please make sure you are looking at the grade your child/ren will be in September.

IMPORTANT REMINDER ABOUT BOOKS!

-The only things that should be staying at home are folders with classwork, quizzes , homework etc (things that have been graded and handed back). 

-Books and notebooks should be coming back to school. Although students are taking final exams, they will still have work in class. 

-Textbooks should definitely come back as they are collected back at the end of the school year.

1.HOMEWORK SCHEDULE is as follow;

2. VOCABULARY WORDS - Words for the final exams are posted on the study guides below. 


3.FOLDERS: All exams/quizzes were sent home. Use them to study. 


4.Map of the Month was given during the week of May 23-26, it is due in June 18. 


5.UPCOMING EVENTS:No school June 17 and June 24. June 23 is half day- dismissal at 12. Last day of school is June 28th.  


6.Scholastic books: If you ever want to order books for your child from scholastic outside of the time I place orders, you can use the following code; PK9XQ. This will have the book orders sent to school , also it helps us earn points /books for students to borrow.

7.Quizzes were sent home. There should be minimum of 3 quizzes for module 4. 


8.Social Studies final exam is on June 13 and Reading final exam is June 15.

REMINDERS- READ CAREFULLY

1. Second graders took home all of their folders. These folders are to remain at home. Their quizzes from module 4 were all given back to use to study . Check all the folders as some students have quizzes from September that keep coming back to school. Again use all the quizzes/test to study for final exams.

2. Second graders also took 3 notebooks ( reading , math and social studies ) home. These were to study those subjects tonight as those are the first three final exam subjects. Please make sure your child still brings them back to school . The green book was for homework , so please send back.

3. Study guides are posted , make sure to read it carefully with your child. Vocabulary words with definition are in the link below each module. Use that ,notebooks and quizzes to study.
Since there will be 3 study guides , make sure to scroll down to find the guide for your child. Also the weekly blog is under the study guides, so you have to keep scrolling.

4.Third and fourth grade quizzes from module 4 were given to the students. Please make sure to check your child's bookbag. Quizzes from module 1, 2, and 3 were sent home at the time of the module exams for those modules. So those should be at home as well. Use those to study.

5.Do not wait to look at the study guide/notebook/quizzes the night before the test. Start studying this week.
