- Create and fill in a story map graphic organizer for chapter 3. On looseleaf or white paper.
- Read chapter 4 of Harriet the spy. Write down unknown words on a looseleaf. Be prepared to discuss the chapter.

READING
planet: an object moving around a star. ex. earth.

spotted: saw

panted: to breath hard and quickly.

skidded: the sudden motion to stop after sliding.

rash: a change in skin color or texture , due to a reaction.

stank: unpleasant smell.

rotten: very bad ; food that is no good to consume.

noun: a word that stands for a person, place or thing.

SOCIAL STUDIES
Hispanic: a person coming from a Spanish-speaking culture.

culture: traits such as ; language, behaviors, beliefs and traditions passed on from others.

Heritage: something inherited from birth; traditions.

Saint: a person who after death was declared a person of excellence.
