INFORMATION REGARDING VOCABULARY WORDS

- Vocabulary words are not the same as sight words.

- Students get vocabulary words for both subjects: Reading and Social Studies.

- The Social studies words will be usually define in class as they are part of the readings from the books.

- The reading words will be posted and defined in the blog. I will not check to make sure those words are written in the notebook as homework.

- You can have your child copy them at home in their notebook or you could print for them to review at home. That is you choice. The words are reviewed constantly throughout the week and to maximize teaching time, I will not have them write the words down in class.

- No matter what method you decide on, please make sure they are only on the words for their grade level.

Dear second grade parents,

As you already know, this year your child will be entering the departmental setting that ranges from 2nd- 4th grade.  Your child will have three teachers, which they will see for two hour periods for two subjects. I will be their homeroom teacher as well as the reading and social studies teacher. Ms. Saville( 3rd grade homeroom) will be their Religion and ELA teacher and Mr.Badia (4th grade homeroom) will be their math and science teacher.

When looking into the supplies needed for the school year, you must check all three blogs. My supply list is below.
