First Week of School !!

Hi Everyone,

As school just started I wanted to remind everyone about rules and procedures to ensure we all have a successful school year.

General announcements

1. Students can start going up the stairs to their homeroom classrooms at 7:45 am to start packing up their books, supplies etc. Then about 7:55 we will start heading down to church for morning prayer service. If you are running late and we are at morning prayer already just proceed to church and join us there.

2. Please send in all the supplies by Monday September 12 including the forms given at the opening meeting.

3. Homework will  start the week of September 12 and the schedule is as follow:
Mrs.Bagley and Mr.Badia: Monday and Wednesday
Ms.Saville : Tuesday and Thursday

4. As mentioned in the meeting , extended day will start the week of September 19. The dates are not finalized yet. As soon as we have them I will post them.

Specific to my classroom/subjects

1. THIRD GRADE our gym class in on Tuesday. Other grades check for the date with your homeroom teacher.

2. This was reviewed in class today but students will be reminded in the weeks to come. Any homework that is done on looseleaf will go in baskets located on the shelve in front of the windows. Students will be reminded to place homework in the baskets on their own.

3. Homework is usually due the next day, but it will be specified when the homework is given on the blog.

4.We cannot use microwaves to heat up food during the school day, so please make sure than any food your child brings can be left out.

5. Students do not have to take all of their books home. They will be reminded of what they need, but please understand in the first couple of weeks some students make take everything fearing that they will forget to bring something home.

6. Make sure you check the other Teacher's blogs often. I will only post homework for me and reminders that are specific to me or general to all the students.

7. Just like last year, vocabulary words will be posted on the weekly blog post at the bottom. These vocabulary words will be given in class during the lessons and that is when students will copy them into their notebooks but in case they miss a day, loose the notebook etc., they will be found on the blog at any time. This will come in handy for midterms/finals (yes, I know, how dare I throw those words out there already).

Here is to a great year !!!
