REMINDERS
1.HOMEWORK SCHEDULE: It is posted by each individual teacher. Make sure to check http://olqmnyc-msramsey.blogspot.com/ for science (for 2nd grade) and social studies (for 3rd grade) and http://olqmnyc-mrbadia.blogspot.com/ for 2nd and 3rd grade math.
2. VOCABULARY WORDS -Vocabulary words are assigned for the week on the blog as homework to be copied into the ELA notebook and then will be quizzed on the following week. The Religion words are within the religion book, therefore they are not copied separate into the notebook. Social studies word will be assigned to be copied within notebook on homework days.
3.MATERIALS: ALL students need at least 3 sharpened pencils. Many students can't even find a working pencil when they arrive at school.

-2nd grade Social Studies: Every student was given a name of a famous Hispanic Person. It is taped on the inside cover of their religion/social studies notebook. We worked on an example in class. This can be done neatly on looseleaf or typed and printed if possible.

-3rd grade Religion:Complete the 8 squares (on the white paper we started in class). One square is for your name and then the other 7 are to match the events listen on pages 38-39 from the religion book. This is Due Tomorrow October 11.

REMINDERS FOR TOMORROW FRIDAY OCTOBER 6, 2017
2nd and 3rd grade have a religion quiz tomorrow based on chapter 2. Review the chapter in the book and the notes in the religion notebook.
3rd grade: continue working on the 8 box picture collage that matches the reading on pages 38-39.
As per me, 2nd grade cannot wear plainclothes tomorrow. GYM UNIFORM ONLY.
As per Mr. Badia, 3rd grade cannot wear play clothes tomorrow. They must be in COMPLETE REGULAR UNIFORM ONLY.

REMINDERS
1.HOMEWORK SCHEDULE most likely will stay the way it was last week. Check later on this week for a posted schedule.
2. VOCABULARY WORDS - Words are given in class with definition, but they will be found in the links at the end of this post, in case any student has missed the words by the end of Monday. Words will be added as we learn new vocabulary words.
3.MATERIALS: ALL students need at least 3 sharpened pencils. There is a sharpener in the classroom, but it must be used in the morning, not throughout class.
4.UPCOMING EVENTS:
-Mass on Wednesday October 4, 2017.
5.I was not able to find affordable plastic zip lock bags for students to use to go upstairs for Mrs.Ramsey's class. My suggestion is to send in a light weight bag where students could put their science books (2nd grade) or social studies book (3rd grade) when they go upstairs for class, instead of carrying their rolling bags.

-3rd grade ELA: Start your narrative using lesson 4 from your readers and writers journal. Write a narrative paragraph that introduces a character and an interesting setting. Introduce the character by telling the most important details the reader should know about him or her. Then introduce the setting for the character by describing the place and time clearly. This is to be done on LOOSELEAF and it is due FRIDAY.
