- Main idea
- inflections -ed.
-comparing and contrasting
-alphabetizing by first and second letters
- sequencing of events.
-suffixes: less, ness, ly, er, est.( can use phonics book to reinforce).
Social Studies
Students are to study all their notes in their social studies notebooks, including the end of chapter /unit questions.
Students should know the following;
-what the 5 senses are for and what body part they use
-what is a picture glossary and how to use it.
-the difference between a glossary and a picture glossary
-the story " Through Grandpa's eyes"
-examples of direction words
-what is a map key
-characteristics of a city, town, suburbs, rural
-the difference between needs and wants
-how do people earn and spend money
-how do people make a plan for spending
Students have notes on the material being covered in the midterm, but in case not, the information covered is the following :
-unit one , two and four from living in communities textbook
- Unit one in people together.
