Second grade- Social Studies

Use pages in notebook dated :

-11/16/16: How did settlements begin

-11/28: How did the first people get to America?

Vocabulary: settlements, settler, pioneers, explorer, navigation , cartography, freedom, successful, and Jamestown.

The next social studies quiz will be Monday December 19 and it will be based on the notes from 12/5, 12/6,12/7
Vocabulary words: Pilgrims, traditions, town meeting, elect, council, tax, governor, capital, and capitol.

When we come back we will review and focus on notes from 12/9, 12/14 and anything else we do until the break.

Next week before vacation we will have a quiz based on only vocabulary words.
