REMINDERS
1.HOMEWORK SCHEDULE is as follow;
Monday and Wednesday : Mrs. Bagley and Mr. Badia
Tuesday and Thursday : Ms. Saville

2. VOCABULARY WORDS - Words are given in class with definition, some will be define. Although we are still finishing module 2, the words will be listed under Module 3, since students already took their midterm which included module 1 and 2.
3.MATERIALS: Second graders need at least 3 sharpened pencils.
4.Map of the Month: Map of the month for fourth grade was given before the Christmas vacation and the third grade map of the month was given last week. Maps are due January 25th.
5.UPCOMING EVENTS:
- 3:15 dismissal starts today to accommodate the hour and a half of math a day.
-Report card distribution February 2
-Parent teacher conference February 3, from 3-8 pm.
6.Scholastic books: Flyers will be sent home periodically for students/parents to order books that they want. If any of the books we will need during the year are listed there I would ask for that book specifically. Otherwise it is a personal choice if you want to order. If you want to order books outside of the time I place orders you can CLICK HERE TO BE DIRECTED TO SCHOLASTIC WEBSITE and then click on yellow section to connect with teacher and enter class code: LJ8KK.
7.QUIZZES: Quizzes will begin next week on January 30.
8. Students in third and fourth grade have been using Google Classroom very often, please help them remember their username and password. Login information should also be written at home in a safe places along with the login information for Achieve, IXL and I-ready. Although second grade is only using this sometimes, they also have usernames and passwords.
Username:first initial last name @olqmnyc.org. Example; John Smith would be jsmith@olqmnyc.org
Passwords: everyone's password was set to olqmnyc1, but it might be different if your child changed it.

Reading: Green Ready NY book pages 94-95
THIRD GRADE:
Social Studies: On looseleaf make a chart with two columns. On one side label it Northern part of Italy and the other side label it the Southern part of Italy. Then reread pages 133-139 from textbook and list the land forms mentioned either under Northern or southern. Next to the fact write the page number you found it in.
FOURTH GRADE:
Social Studies: Using the old textbook (which should be kept at home until June) Read pages 120-121 and answer "Reviewing the Skill" section #1-4. Answers only on looseleaf.
