Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year!

Dear second grade parents,

As you already know, this year your child will be entering the departmental setting that ranges from 2nd- 4th grade.  Your child will have three teachers, which they will see for two hour periods for two subjects. I will be their homeroom teacher as well as the reading and social studies teacher. Ms. Saville( 3rd grade homeroom) will be their Religion and ELA teacher and Mr.Badia (4th grade homeroom) will be their math and science teacher.

When looking into the supplies needed for the school year, you must check all three blogs. My supply list is below. In order to get information throughout the school year, you must also visit the blogs for each of three teachers. Before the start of the school year, there will be a meeting with Mr. Woods and also the teachers. Other information will be discussed at that time.

Dear Third and Fourth grade parents,

3. During the school year we will be using books that I will ask students to bring in. The books will be posted in advance to needing them. They can be purchased or borrowed from the public library. If I am able to acquire a pdf version of the books, I will post to blog for you to print.

Below are some rules that must be followed to have a successful school year;

  • Students must be in homeroom by 8 am, if not they will have to get a late pass. If your child is late please make sure they get a late pass instead of sneaking in. If they are not in homeroom by 8:05, they will be marked absent. The absence turns into a lateness with the late pass.
  • Proper school uniform must be worn at all times.
  • Homework, assignments, and reminders will be posted on the blog , so it must be checked regularly- olqmnyc.blogspot.com
  • Appointments to see teachers can be made through the office. No walk ins.
