FOURTH GRADE
- Read pages 118-119 from social studies book and answer questions #1-3 on a looseleaf questions and answers. Then on a separate looseleaf do the Sharing viewpoint in paragraph from using details from the readings. Do not do the part that says as a class.

SECOND GRADE
- Answer the following questions in your reading notebook. Students started in class and some finished.

*Our Unit is A road to freedom, so we will be focusing on many important people and events in the rights of African Americans during the Civil Rights movement and the Civil War.

REMINDERS FOR WEEK OF JANUARY 13-17

- This week students will be taking their midterm exams. They are to get a good night sleep , good breakfast and come prepare with pencils and looseleaf. 

The schedule for test is as follow; 
Monday - Writing in the Content Area
Tuesday - Mathematics and Social Studies
Wednesday - ELA (English Language Arts) and Reading
Thursday- Science and Religion
students who are absent will be given makeups on Friday January 17th or Tuesday January 21st.

- On Friday January 17 dismissal is at 11am. 

- Monday January 20, school is closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr.

- Read Yipee-Yay A Book About Cowboys and Cowgirls from the yellow textbook pages 172-175
and answer the following questions.

2. Why was their clothing chosen for rough wear and tear?
3. Why did the saddle have to comfortable?
4. Explain the reason for wearing chaps.
5. Reread page 175 second paragraph and identify the main idea and the supporting details. Go back and check your answers and make sure that the supporting details SUPPORT the main idea.
* Answer will be found in the textbook, DO NOT MAKE THEM UP! A good reader goes back in the story and rereads to find answers.
