REMINDERS AND HOMEWORK FOR WEEK OF DECEMBER 14-18- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THERE IS A LOT OF ANNOUNCEMENTS !!!

REMINDERS

1. HOMEWORK SCHEDULE is as follow;
          Monday and Wednesday : Mrs.Bagley and Mr.Badia
          Tuesday and Thursday : Ms. Saville

2. VOCABULARY WORDS will be given and written during class time.

3. EXTENDED DAY: Fourth grade will stay on Tuesday for math and Thursday for ELA. Third grade will stay on Tuesday for ELA and Wednesday for math.

4. EXAM: This weeks schedule
second grade: Reading on Tuesday and Social Studies on Thursday
third grade: reading on Tuesday and social studies on Thursday
Fourth grade: Reading  on Tuesday and Social Studies on Thursday

5.MAP A MONTH (3rd and 4th grade only)was given today November 30 and it is due December 17. If you will leave on vacation before then , please hand in before your last day. None will be accepted in January 2016.

SCHOLASTIC: The company has said that the books will be delivered to the school by the latest December 18.  When they arrive I will distribute.


HOMEWORK FOR DECEMBER 14, 2015

SECOND GRADE:
A. Complete page 137 Read and think #1-2 Questions and answers on looseleaf.

B. Review reading vocabulary words; hollow, quills, muscles, sequence.


THIRD GRADE:
A.If not completed in class finish the following questions on looseleaf in sentence form. Write the page number where you found the answer in parenthesis.
1.What did Jack and Annie smell when they woke up? Page #?
2.How did they help the villagers fight the fire?
3.Why did Jack and Annie want to go back to Basho’s Castle?Page #?
4.Why didn't the wand work when Jack and Annie first tried to use it?Page #?

B.Reread chapter 7 from Dragon of the Red Dawn and complete the first sheet in the packet given out in class.

C. Review vocabulary words: generation, notice, traditions, wonder


FOURTH GRADE:
A. Review chapter 4 and complete pages 108-110 Thinking about Vocabulary #1-10 answer only and Thinking about Facts #1-10 sentence form only. 

B.Review vocabulary words: 

C. Complete the 3 worksheets from Friday if you haven't done so. If not done by tomorrow, you will receive a zero. 




HOMEWORK FOR DECEMBER 16, 2015
SECOND GRADE:
A. Complete worksheet # 22 from Superkids using the article "Saving the Cranes" from the Super Magazine. 





THIRD GRADE:
A. Make sure you complete the map of the month. DUE TOMORROW NO EXCUSES!




FOURTH GRADE: 
A. Make sure you complete the map of the month. DUE TOMORROW NO EXCUSES!
B. Review chapter 4 from your social studies textbook. 



HOMEWORK FOR CHRISTMAS 2015

Second Grade:
Complete the reading workbook using the reader (Bedtime Stories).Some work will be done independently in class this week, so weather you will be here the rest of the week or not the work is still to be completed. 



Third Grade:
A.Read the remaining chapters of the book and answer the questions that will be listed below on looseleaf.
B.Research information about the following topics. Get a picture and describe what you learned about it in 3-4 sentences for each. This could be done on one 8 by 11.5 paper (regular size) or on separate papers. NOT ON A POSTER BOARD.
Topics: Basho, Edo, Poetry, Samurai. 





Fourth Grade:
A.Reading : Complete the worksheet given in class on Wednesday using the articles below. 

B.Social Studies: Read chapter 5 from the textbook and complete the Thinking About Vocabulary and Thinking About Facts section found on page 132 on looseleaf. Sentence form for everything.
