REMINDERS AND HOMEWORK FOR WEEK OF JANUARY 4-8

REMINDERS

1. HOMEWORK SCHEDULE is as follow;

          Monday and Wednesday : Mrs.Bagley and Mr.Badia
          Tuesday and Thursday : Ms. Saville

2. VOCABULARY WORDS will be given and written during class time.

3. EXTENDED DAY: Fourth grade will stay on Tuesday for math and Thursday for ELA. Third grade will stay on Tuesday for ELA and Wednesday for math.

4. EXAM: This week students will be taking social studies quiz on Tuesday and  reading quiz on Thursday.

5.MAP A MONTH : Will be given this week, remember it is worth the same as a quiz, so not doing its like getting a 0 on a quiz.

6. WEEK CHANGE: Friday January 8 is a half day. 12 O' clock dismissal.

SECOND GRADE:
1.complete any vacation homework not done.

3.Find out who the major, governor and president are and write it in your social studies  notebook. If you live out of NYC or NYS find out who the above leaders are for where you live.

THIRD GRADE:
1.complete any vacation homework not done.

FOURTH GRADE:
1. Define the words that are not in your notebook from page 112 (social studies)
2. Answer questions #1-4 from page 117 on looseleaf, questions and answers.
3.complete any vacation homework not done.

HOMEWORK FOR JANUARY 5, 2016

Third Grade: Reread chapter 1 of your book club book and explain the who, what and where. Make sure that the where is where they are in chapter one , not where they will be going. Also the what needs to have a few sentences 3-4 explaining the main events in the text.

SECOND GRADE:
1.Study for social studies quiz on pioneers , settlers, etc
2.Read pages 76-79 and answer questions 1 and 2 from page 79 on looseleaf. Questions and answers.




THIRD GRADE:
1.read pages 284-287 and answer questions A-C from page 287 on looseleaf. Questions and answers.

FOURTH GRADE:
1.Study for social studies quiz on chapter 5 lesson 1
2.Read chapter 5 lesson 2 and answer the end of lesson questions on looseleaf. Questions and answers.
