CHRISTMAS HOMEWORK- STUDENTS WERE GIVEN SHEETS BUT JUST IN CASE HERE IT IS

SECOND GRADE

  1. Review pages 3-7 from Ready New York book (green book)
  2. Read A Prickly Adventure from Ready NY book page 8-9 and answer questions 1-4 on pages 9-10.- WRITE IN THE BOOK
  3. With the help of a parent students will research laws ( could be laws that apply to NY only or the whole United States). It can be any law that you can help your child understand and they can then explain in class. Students will write the law and an explanation of what it means. Create or print a picture that applies to the law. Do this on looseleaf with full heading.



THIRD GRADE
  1. Read Cleopatra Finds Her Voice on pages 58-59 of Ready New York book(red book) and answer questions #1-5 from pages 59-60. On looseleaf: label the page with title of story , pages. Multiple choice questions need only letter answer. Use complete sentences for #5.
  2. Create a biography of an important Mexican person. Include the persons name, birth date, birth city, information about their childhood, why they are important. DO NOT COPY FROM A SITE OR BOOK-THAT IS PLAGIARISM AND GETS A ZERO. Read the information you find and write the biography using your own words from what you learned.

FOURTH GRADE

  1. Complete map a month
  2. Complete social studies package
  3. Read The Long Winter chapters 16,17,and 18 and write notes on them. Study the notes as you will be quizzed on those chapters when school resumes.
