FOURTH GRADE

-Using the chapter book Tale of a Fourth Grade Nothing- (only chapters 1-5 only)
* I gave a hard cover copy to each student this past week. If lost the cost would be $11.

-Pick ONE project from the following list. Only complete ONE .

OPTIONS

A. The Funny Papers: Make a comic strip about one of the scenes in the story. Include a title frame and lots of conversation bubbles to retell what happened.

B. Pretend you're a teacher. Write your own test to go along with Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. Your test should have 15-20 questions. You can write multiple choice questions, fill-in-the-blank questions, short answer questions, and/or essay questions. Be sure your questions are about the main ideas in the story, not just small details. Also, include an answer key on a separate sheet of paper. Your test should be typed or neatly hand-written. You will be graded on how well you understand the story, quality of your questions, and accuracy on the answer sheet. Neatness counts too.

C. Create a Character Sketch Poster. Your poster should focus on four main characters from this story. Include a large, detailed drawing of four main characters. Next to each character's picture, write several sentences to describe their personality traits, age, appearance, and beliefs. Your poster will be graded on accuracy of information, how well you understand the characters, and neatness.
