REMINDERS, LESSON PLANS, HOMEWORK AND VOCABULARY WORDS FOR WEEK OF NOVEMBER 21-23

REMINDERS

1.HOMEWORK SCHEDULE is as follow;

          Monday and Wednesday : Mrs. Bagley and Mr. Badia
          Tuesday and Thursday : Ms. Saville

2. VOCABULARY WORDS - Words are given in class with definition, some will be define for homework. As we add reading and social studies words, they will be added to the links below. Check out the link s below.


3.MATERIALS: Second graders need at least 3 sharpened pencils. 


4.Map of the Month are for  third and fourth grade only and they are due December 14. 


5.UPCOMING EVENTS:
-Module exams are this week. Look at the homework below to see the dates. 
-Report card night is November 22
-No school on November  24 and 25- Happy Thanksgiving!
-Map of the month for 3rd and 4th are due December 14!
-Native American Heritage Projects are due December 15!

6.Scholastic books: Flyers will be sent home periodically for students/parents to order books that they want. If any of the books we will need during the year are listed there I would ask for that book specifically. Otherwise it is a personal choice if you want to order. If you want to order books outside of the time I place  orders you can CLICK HERE TO BE DIRECTED TO SCHOLASTIC WEBSITE and then click on yellow section to connect with teacher and enter class code: LJ8KK

7.GYM is on Tuesday for 4th graders, Thursday for 3rd graders and Friday for 2nd graders.

8.EXTENDED DAY:    Monday -4th grade with Mr.Pacido(math)
                                   Wednesday-4th grade with me (reading)
                                   Wednesday -3rd grade with Mr.Badia (math)
                                   Thursday -3rd grade with me (reading)



9. QUIZZES:There is no quizzes until the start of Module 2.

HOMEWORK FOR NOVEMBER 21, 2016

SECOND GRADE:Complete the image of Featherboy and the Buffalo (this is in your homework folder). On looseleaf explain what would have happened to Sioux Tribe, if Featherboy would not have found the buffalos. 


THIRD GRADE: Go onto Google.com and then login. Your username is : First letter of your name followed by your last name @olqmnyc.org

Example: John Smith username would be jsmith@olqmnyc.org (all lower case)
You have your passwords in your notebook. You may change it but just know you must remember your password, I will not be able to find your password. 

There are questions for you to answer based on social studies. The questions must be answered on Google classroom, NOT on looseleaf or notebook.
