1.HOMEWORK SCHEDULE is as follow;

2. VOCABULARY WORDS - Words are given in class with definition, but they could be found in the links at the end of this post, in case any student has missed the words.
3.MATERIALS: Second graders need at least 3 sharpened pencils.
4.Map of the Month: Map of the continent of Africa was given on Friday February 10 and it is due at the very end of the month.
5.UPCOMING EVENTS:
-Monday February 20, no school due to Presidents day
-Tuesday February 21, African American Heritage presentation due (third and fourth grade ONLY)
-Wednesday February 22, African American Heritage Presentation for Prek and Kindergarten
6.Scholastic books: Flyers will be sent home periodically for students/parents to order books that they want. If any of the books we will need during the year are listed there I would ask for that book specifically. Otherwise it is a personal choice if you want to order. 7.QUIZZES: Quizzes were put on hold due to the administration of the I-ready and MAP assessment. Reading Quiz will for all grades will be administer on Friday February 24. Then next week Monday February 27, there will be a social studies quiz for 3rd and 4th and a Science quiz on Thursday March 2 for 2nd and 3rd grade.
8. Students in third and fourth grade have been using Google Classroom very often, please help them remember their username and password. Login information should also be written at home in a safe places along with the login information for Achieve, IXL and I-ready. Although second grade is only using this sometimes, they also have usernames and passwords.
Username:first initial last name @olqmnyc.org. Example; John Smith would be jsmith@olqmnyc.org
Passwords: everyone's password was set to olqmnyc1, but it might be different if your child changed it.

2.Copy and answer the following question on looseleaf: How have you experienced freedom by being obedient to your teachers, your parents, and others in positions of authority?

FOURTH GRADE:
Reading: Complete the sequence of events charts (when, what, why) using the article "Revolutionary War". EVERYONE was given one about two weeks ago and instructed to keep in their folders.
