Reading vocabulary words- Same as last week


1. plough: plow.
2. sums: the added whole amount. 
3. collapsed:to cave or fall in or give way.
4. biscuit:  small quick bread made from dough.
5. sputter:to spit or squirt from the mouth with explosive sounds.
6. whickering: to neigh .
7. banty: a small variety of poultry usually chickens.
8. primly:done in an excessively proper manner.
9. quilt:  coverlet or blanket made of two layers of fabric with a layer of cotton, wool, feathers, or down in between, all stitched firmly together, usually in a decorative crisscross design.
10. hitch: to attach or connect.



Social studies vocabulary words- Same as last week.

1. benefit: something positive gained after you do something.
2. decision making: reaching a conclusion after considering alternatives and their results. 
3. economic systems: formal and informal rules used to determine what to produce, how and how much.
4. natural resources: things that come from nature that can be used to produce goods or services. 
5. scarcity: being short in goods, due to the fact of higher human wants and not enough resources available.
6. trade-off: giving up one benefit in order to gain another. 
7. barter: trading a good or service directly for another good or service, without using money or credit. 
8. exchange: trading a good or service for another good or service, or for money.
