LESSON PLAN AND REMINDERS FOR WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 22-26

READING VOCABULARY WORDS:
2ND:breezy, cozy, grumpy, icy, sleepy, bright, damp, hefty, puzzled, simple.
3RD:shiver, voyage, slumber, meadow, banner, loyal, ill, vacant, stalk, wild
4TH:trophy, agile, aquatic, compete, novice, offense, opponent, persistence, strenuous, tournament
*LOOK BELOW FOR DEFINITIONS AND REVIEW THEM AT HOME. THE FIRST 10 WORDS ARE ALREADY DEFINED ON A SHEET GIVEN IN CLASS.

MONDAY SEPTEMBER 22, 2014
HOMEWORK:

2ND GRADE: Write the sight words 3 times each in your reading notebook ( Due Tomorrow) and read and answer the questions on the weekly reading sheet( Due Friday).

3RD GRADE; Write the sight words 3 times each in your reading notebook ( Due Tomorrow) .Also reading comprehension sheet ( Due Friday and must have parents signature). Social studies work from notebook ( Due tomorrow)

4TH GRADE:Write the sight words 3 times each in your reading notebook (Due Tomorrow). Complete the vocabulary sheet( Due Tomorrow). Reading passage and questions ( Due Friday).



TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 23, 2014



WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 24, 2014- 2nd grade Gym
2ND GRADE: Pick 5 words from the vocabulary words and write sentences using them on looseleaf.
                         Use the living in communities book page 47 and write down what is a city and a
                         suburb in your social studies notebook.

3RD GRADE:Pick 5 words from the vocabulary words and write sentences using them on looseleaf.
                        Using the social textbook ( comparing communities) page 39 answer questions #5-10
                        from the remembering what you read section, in sentence form. For example if the                               question is What is the largest state?  Then you answer will start like this: The largest                            state is... ( Both hw are due tomorrow and on looseleaf.

4TH GRADE:Pick 5 words from the vocabulary words and write sentences using them on looseleaf.
                       Read social studies pages 20-21 and answer questions #1-4 from page 21 Think about                          it section in sentence form.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2014
- Weekly assessment (only in reading). Review the notes in notebook and grade level words below.
- Half a day.

REMINDERS:
- Due to the Friday's quizzes being given on Monday (9/22), there will be no social studies quiz until next Monday (9/29).

- Next week students will be quizzed on the sight words from the past three weeks.

- 4th grade is to keep working on the Map of the Month

- Third grade social studies project is due next Wednesday.
