REMINDERS, LESSON PLANS, HOMEWORK AND VOCABULARY WORDS FOR WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 12-16

REMINDERS


1.HOMEWORK SCHEDULE is as follow;
          Monday and Wednesday : Mrs. Bagley and Mr. Badia
          Tuesday and Thursday : Ms. Saville

2. VOCABULARY WORDS - Words will be given in  class with definition, some will be define for homework. As we add reading and social studies words, they will be added to the links below. 


3.MATERIALS: Students should have their materials in by Monday. This also includes the forms given at the opening meeting and along with the emergency cards. 


4.Map of the Month  are for  third and fourth grade only. The map will be given at the end of this week and is due October 12. 


5.UPCOMING EVENTS:Opening school mass on Thursday September 15 and half a day on Friday September 16. 


6.Scholastic books: Flyers will be sent home periodically for students/parents to order books that they want. If any of the books we will need during the year are listed there I would ask for that book specifically. Otherwise it is a personal choice if you want to order. 7.GYM is on Tuesday's for Third grade and Friday for Second grade. 


8.SUMMER READING for SECOND GRADE: The questions can be found at the top of the blog. We will start with  Poppleton in Winter next Monday September 19 and then with the second book on October 3. So if you have not finished either book, you still have time.

HOMEWORK FOR SEPTEMBER 12, 2016

SECOND GRADE:

Social Studies: Reread pages 32-35 answer the skills check question on page 35 on looseleaf. 
Write full heading on the looseleaf and then skip a line and state the homework.

THIRD GRADE:

Social Studies: Reread pages 22-29 and answer Think and Write questions A and B and Skills check: Map skill from page 29 on looseleaf. Write full heading on the looseleaf and then skip a line and state the homework.

FOURTH GRADE:

Social Studies:
Define the vocabulary words found on  page G9 in your social studies notebook using the textbook. 



HOMEWORK FOR SEPTEMBER 14, 2016

SECOND GRADE:

Reading: Use the reading packet given in class. Reread "Rabbits' Cozy Homes" from page 12 from the packet and complete page 13 #1 (Number one only, which is the whole chart).

THIRD GRADE:

Reading; Read the article "The New Kid" and only complete the sections for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Not Thursday or Friday. 


FOURTH GRADE:

Reading:Reread "The Thanksgiving Address" (intro and section 1 which on one sheet and sections 2-5 which are another sheet) and on a looseleaf with complete heading, write down the main idea and at least 3 supporting details. 





 VOCABULARY:

Links will be uploaded this week
