REMINDERS AND LESSON PLANS FOR WEEK OF FEBRUARY 2-6

REMINDERS

1.Report card meetings on Wednesday February 4 from 1-7 pm. There will be a limit of 5 minutes per parent. Questions regarding specific work need to be discuss at a separate meeting by appointment.

2. Vocabulary is below. Make sure your child copies them into their respective notebook when assigned.

FOURTH GRADE: Tomorrow we will be working on an activity on the Declaration of Independence using a website- If possible ( and if your child has a tablet/ipad) allow them to bring to school.

SECOND GRADE:

-READING 
1.  settled:  to stay in a place to live, build communities and raise families.
2.   historical : a text about events that have happened in the past.
3.  timeline: an organized way of placing information in sequence order.
4.  biography: a piece of non-fiction writing about the events in the life of a real person.
5.  uncertain: not sure
6. voyage: a trip.

- SOCIAL STUDIES 
1. vote : to choose from a group.
2. U.S Citizen: people born in the United States of America
3.  Slavery : the act of owning people as property
4.  freedom: being free; independence

THIRD GRADE:
-READING

-SOCIAL STUDIES

1.non-violence: actions taken , without force, chaos, or harm to anyone or destruction to property.


FOURTH GRADE:

-SOCIAL STUDIES 

1.Declaration of Indepedence: document where the rights of the people was outlined.
2. Thomas Jefferson: write of the Declaration of Independence
