VOCABULARY WORDS FOR SECOND , THIRD AND FOURTH GRADE

SECOND GRADE READING WORDS

1. taunts: to mock, do something in a sarcastic way, bothering someone. 
2.cogitating: to think hard or ponder.
3.quiescent: being at rest, quiet. 
4.ordained: to become invested in sacerdotal duties ex. becoming a priest or preacher.
5. congregation: a group of people coming together for religious reasons. 
6.Jim Crow: the practice of segregating African Americans from Whites in public spaces such as schools, stores, buses, etc.  
7. unconstitutional: not parts of the rules, against the constitution, which is the new form of government used after America becoming it' own country. 
8.boycott: not using or buying something. 
9.supreme court: the highest court in the United States. 

10. Civil Rights: personal rights of all individuals that make sure all are treaty equally , no matter what.

FOURTH GRADE READING WORDS 
1. unsuitable: not useful in a certain situation. ex. Sandals are unsuitable for winter weather. 
2.solemnly: serious
3. abdominal: in or on the abdomen area, which is the part of your body from your below your chest to your bellybutton. 
4. vigorous: strong, energetic , powerful in action. 
5. exasperated: annoy extremely. 
6. berth: a sleeping space on a ship, train or space vessel. 
7. hoisted: to raise or lift by using a mechanical item. 
8. Delicatessen: a store selling food that is already prepared or requires little preparation. 
9. Reminiscently
10.Underprivileged: to be denied normal rights because of low socioeconomic statues (being poor). 

11.Ballasted: any material carried temporarily or permanently in a vessel to provide wanted stability ( balance).
